Jano van Wyk is a Partner in Corporate Reporting Services (CRS) at PwC Canada. He serves as a CRS Partner, delivering critical technical accounting and securities regulation expertise to PwC Canada's clients across the country with a specific focus on and SEC registrants. With more than 17 years of experience at PwC spanning offices in Johannesburg, Detroit, and Ottawa, Jano brings deep knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and Canadian and US securities regulations. He supports high-profile multinational clients on complex SEC filings, as well as cross-border accounting and disclosure matters. Jano leads the global Impairment Working Group and actively contributes to PwC's Global CRS network, helping translate emerging standards into practical guidance for engagement teams and clients. He is recognized for combining technical rigour with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach that enables audit teams to navigate critical accounting judgments with confidence. Jano is also a champion of technology and innovation, embedding AI-driven tools to enhance audit quality and delivery efficiency.

Prior to his current role, Jano spent more than a decade managing audit engagements for large multinational SEC registrants and publicly listed companies across the technology, mining, consumer products, retail, pharmaceutical, and agricultural sectors. He has extensive experience leading PCAOB and CAS audits, overseeing quarterly reviews, annual filings, prospectus offerings, comfort letters, and non-recurring transactions for priority accounts. Jano began his career in South Africa, where he managed a diverse client portfolio spanning manufacturing, agriculture, and industrial services, before completing an international secondment in the United States focused on the manufacturing sector. He subsequently relocated to Canada where he expanded his expertise into the technology sector, managing complex SEC engagements. Throughout his career, Jano has consistently delivered profitable engagements through disciplined billing, fee negotiations, and resource optimization — achieving significant margin improvements on key accounts. He has served as a trusted advisor to CFOs and audit committees, building strong relationships through responsiveness, technical depth, and practical business acumen.

Jano is a qualified Chartered Accountant — CA (SA) — and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is an active contributor to PwC's Global CRS network, participating in critical working groups that shape audit guidance worldwide, and serves as lead coordinator of the Impairment Working Group.
