Alodie has over 27 years experience in the Financial Services industry, specializing in Insurance, and brings to bear her deep technical skills in leading nationally the IFRS 17 conversion. Alodie was recently appointed as the National Insurance Leader overseeing the overall strategy of all lines of service, comprising Audit, Risk, Actuarial, Tax, Consulting and Deals. In that capacity, she is also a member of the PwC Canada Financial Services and PwC’s Global Insurance Leadership Teams where she is responsible for contributing to the growth of the financial services practice in Canada and for the international coordination of services to the firm’s global clients respectively.

Alodie works collaboratively with her clients and leverages her broad relationships to bring to her clients the expertise of the entire firm. The launch in 2006 and stewardship until 2012 of the EyeOpener series (which provides insights and updates on financial reporting, actuarial, tax and business topics to the insurance industry) demonstrated her commitment to delivering value to her clients and sharing her network with others. She has extensive experience in working on large and complex global audits and has developed strong relationships over the PwC Network.

Alodie is a recognized leader in the industry. She is a member of the OSFI Insurance Advisory Committee, an advisor to the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) Financial Affairs Committee, the co-chair of the IBC IFRS 17 Working Group and a regular speaker at events organized by the Canadian Insurance Accounting Association, the IBC, the Canadian Insurance Financial Forum, the CFO/CRO Forum and the Institute of Corporate Directors.

As a Chartered Accountant and a change agent, Alodie has a keen interest in the future of audit. Her former appointment as a Director of the Audit and Assurance Standard Board and as a member of the PwC Global Future of Reporting and Assurance task force reflects her ambition to make a difference to her profession, ensuring it remains relevant and continues to serve the public interest. She was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of PwC Canada.

Alodie is passionate about developing her team members, and fostering their career progression. She was the Human Capital Leader of the GTA Audit practice for 5 years, and is a sought after coach.

Combining her love of ballet and her desire to give back to the community, Alodie is a Director of the National Ballet School where she lends her financial expertise as chair of the Audit Committee. She is also the Treasurer and Finance Chair for the Canadian International Women Forum (IWF) and an alumni of the Judy Project (2013 Class). She previously completed an 8 year term on the Board of Altruvest, an organization that works to enhance the governance skills of charitable sector boards and senior leaders.

Born and raised in Belgium, Alodie moved to Toronto in 1997 where she currently lives with her husband and two teenage boys. She regularly practices yoga and enjoys sailing and skiing with her family.
