PwC Legal Ukraine recognized for “Expert contribution to the reforming of the state agencies system in charge of Intellectual Property matters”

On June 7th 2017, as part of 4th International forum on IP organized by the publishing house “Yuridicheskaya Praktika”, a ceremony took place during which leading law firms and experts practicing IP law received industry awards.
The team of PwC Legal Ukraine received a special distinction from the forum organizers for its expert contribution into building of the effectiveness of the state agencies tasked with the oversight of IP matters.
In December of 2016 a Memorandum was signed about the collaboration between PwC Ukraine and Ukraine’s Ministry of Economic Development, according to which the joint projects are being implemented as part of the program financed by the Governments of the United Kingdom called “Good Governance Fund – Managed Fund”. This program is implemented in Ukraine by the Department of Foreign International Development/ DFID with the participation of PwC network companies.
According to the Memorandum, PwC Ukraine legal team performed a diagnostic procedure of the current operating model while taking into account the relevant international practice in order to enhance quality and effectiveness of the oversight. The firm’s experts also came up with a plan for transition from the current operating model to the new one.
