JTI Ukraine granted first AEO status

The State Customs Service of Ukraine has granted Authorized Economic Operator status AEO-C to one of the largest manufacturers of tobacco products in Ukraine – JTI Ukraine. The company became the first AEO in Ukraine. This will allow it to take advantage of special AEO simplifications during customs registration.
When assessed for compliance with AEO criteria, the company demonstrated existing procedures to manage and control the customs issues, which indicated a high level of preparedness. PwC Ukraine accompanied the company during the whole process, starting from the analysis of compliance with the AEO criteria and ending with the announcement of the assessment results.
