Authorized Economic Operator in Ukraine is now a reality!

The Cabinet of Ministry of Ukraine passed legislative acts on the functioning of authorized economic operators (AEO)
On 29 July 2020, the Cabinet of Ministry of Ukraine passed the Resolution, which approves the following documents:
- The application form of a company for granting AEO authorization
- The form of the self-assessment questionnaire of the company
- The procedure for customs authorities to assess (reassess) the company's compliance with the AEO criteria
- The procedure for confirming the qualifications of the company’s employee responsible for customs matters on the knowledge of the customs legislation of Ukraine
- Normative values of indicators (coefficients) of solvency (financial stability) and liquidity of the company using annual (interim) financial statements
- The form of the report on the results of the assessment (reassessment) of the company's compliance with the AEO criteria
- The form on the conclusion regarding the conformity (non-conformity) of the company to the AEO criteria.
AEO status can be obtained by any company involved in the international supply chain - manufacturer, exporter, importer, freight forwarder, carrier, warehouse keeper, and customs broker. For this, the company must comply with the AEO criteria established by the Customs Code of Ukraine.
After the Resolution comes into force, companies will be able to submit an application and a filled self-assessment questionnaire for passing the assessment and obtainment of AEO authorization.
