19/04/21

PwC team analysed the insights of 700 global CEOs and developed a list of actions to help companies reconfigure business models and seize opportunities to not only maintain their market standing but tap into their growth potential and emerge stronger.

Firstly, establish a flexible business and workforce plan.

Secondly, invest in the digital tools that will sustain your resilience.

And finally, take your commitment to agility to the next level.

“Any crisis is a litmus paper that reveals vulnerable areas of a business. At the same time, a crisis is an incentive for change, a time for adapting and reconfiguring processes.

We see how our clients’ requests have changed over the last year. Businesses are now most concerned about their operating and business model efficiency, looking for optimisation and saving opportunities, particularly by preventing potential fraud. The industries that have demonstrated growth during the crisis, such as retail and pharmaceutical sectors are now more actively considering scaling their business.

The businesses that have opted for working remotely due to the pandemic should consider cybersecurity issues as recent global cyberattack instances prove how vulnerable even the most secure cloud-based infrastructures are. The businesses that have chosen the traditional office format, and there are many of them today, have a chance of spearheading growth if they proactively work on their operational plans of a quick and safe return to business as usual with a unique customer proposition. For those who prefer working online, it will be more difficult to develop such a proposition.”
