The leading positions of PwC Ukraine’s tax practice have been recognised by independent rating agency Chambers Europe Guide for the fourth year in a row. Chambers evaluates the work of consulting firms in 53 jurisdictions across Europe. This year the competition was even more intense as the agency assessed a record number of firms – almost one thousand five hundred of them!
In particular, PwC in Ukraine was recognized in the ranking due to the professionalism of the practice, which advises major national and multinational companies, as well as public sector institutions, on general corporate tax, including international tax planning, compliance and VAT. Also, the research highlights the firm’s leading positions in representing clients in tax and customs litigation as well as undertaking corporate restructurings and giving transactional tax advice.
Slava Vlasov, Partner, Leader of tax and legal services at PwC Ukraine, was recognized as one of the leading experts in the tax field in Ukraine. Slava has been actively fostering the development of a dialogue between business and government representatives for the last 25 years.
“It’s not easy to get Chambers’ recognition – you should confirm your team’s qualifications with numerous successful projects and also show the trust and positive reviews of your clients whom you help to manage complicated tax issues. One important factor is the participation of the firm in pro bono projects aimed at improving the Ukrainian tax system and making it comparable to the best world practices. In particular, this is another direction, which we are proud of, aside from our joint successes with clients.
I’m looking into the future with optimism as our practice possesses all the components needed for further success: market recognition, client loyalty, a strong team of dedicated professionals and precise plans for the future – a leading market role in building a modern, technology-based tax system,”
