New directors at PwC Slovakia
Bratislava 30. júl 2025 – PwC Slovensko has appointed new directors who will take up their positions from 1 September 2025 - Lucia Harbáčová, Erika Chovancová, Jozef Mitka, Zuzana Palkechová, Marián Vrchovský.
Lucia Harbáčová has been at PwC Slovakia since 2006. During her 19-year career in auditing, she has gained comprehensive experience working with clients across the trade, service, and manufacturing industries. Since 2016, she has primarily focused on auditing global IT companies operating in Slovakia via shared service centres. She leads an international team and supports audit engagements across the EMEA region. Lucia is a licensed statutory auditor and holds the FCCA qualification. Her audit expertise includes statutory and IFRS financial statements, and financial reports prepared according to group accounting policies.
Erika Chovancová has been working in PwC’s audit department since 2004. Over her more than 20-year career, she has focused on providing comprehensive audit and non-audit services to clients at shared service centres and commercial enterprises. She has substantial experience leading projects for prominent companies in these sectors. Erika holds a statutory auditor license and the FCCA certification. Her portfolio includes audits of statutory financial statements and financial statements prepared under IFRS.
Jozef Mitka has been a part of the PwC Risk Assurance department since 2008, specializing in testing internal IT processes and controls. During his 17-year career, he has gained expertise in Slovakia and New Zealand, where he worked for two years. Jozef has extensive experience managing international projects involving IT audits, system migrations, and process redesigns, aimed at providing practical solutions to management and enhancing internal controls. He holds CISA, CIA, and FCCA certifications and currently leads a department focused on IT audits and external reporting related to IT controls.
Zuzana Palkechová has been working at PwC since 2016. She specializes in providing services related to public funding, directly managed instruments, and state aid. She has led investment and R&D projects including IPCEI in the field of hydrogen technologies and cloud solutions in Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic. She has prepared feasibility studies and methodologies for state aid compliance rules for the commercial use of R&D infrastructure. She also has experience in working with European clients, such as DG REFORM and DG REGIO, under the framework of state aid and notification of the Recovery and Resilience Plan scheme, as well as supporting the implementation of the Just Transition Fund in Slovakia. She is responsible for developing and leading activities relating to EU funding in the PwC CEE region.
Marián Vrchovský has been with PwC Slovakia since 2008. Throughout his career, he has specialized in delivering comprehensive audit and non-audit services to clients in the automotive industry and shared service centres. He has led projects for major companies in these sectors and has extensive experience in statutory accounting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). He holds a statutory auditor license and the FCCA certification.
