Sustainability Week at PwC Slovakia

30/04/25

PwC has long demonstrated its global commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and achieving Net Zero by 2030. As a business leader and socially responsible company, we strive to contribute to this goal via environmental initiatives, and by supporting the social and governance pillars of sustainability.

To reinforce this commitment, PwC organized its second annual Sustainability Week from 7 to 11 April 2025. Throughout the week, we aimed to inspire employees to adopt more sustainable behaviours—at work and at home. The activities and challenges included:

  • A spring donation drive collecting clothing, household items and other useful goods for OZ Átrium in Banská Bystrica, Rožňava town, and the Archdiocesan Charity in Košice,
  • Volunteer activities supporting Mestské lesy Bratislava and the BROZ conservation association,
  • Daily sustainability challenges such as commuting without a car, eating sustainably, or making responsible shopping choices,
  • Sharing sustainable habits practiced by our colleagues to inspire one another,
  • A sustainability quiz with a prize from a sustainable retail store.

After a week filled with sustainability-focused activities, many colleagues realized that acting responsibly is not difficult—and that it brings benefits not only for the planet, but also for our everyday lives.
