We donated 28 litres of blood!

The decision to regularly host blood donation events on PwC premises came a couple of years ago. While this activity allows our employees to give back to the community, it also strengthens the bonds and spirit within the team. According to the National Transfusion Service, the demand for the transfusion unit is immensely high, given that they can bring it all the way to the donors who can then donate blood from the comfort of the office. It is exactly this form of blood donation that motivates especially those otherwise worried about the time and comfort constraints. 

We are proud to say that in 2025 we managed to get 58 colleagues involved, who altogether spent 788 hours donating blood. Our most active month was May, when 25 donations took place. Altogether, we donated an impressive 28l of blood, an amount that can save approximately 200 lives, or one fully packed Airbus A321. 

Blood donation is open to everyone between the ages of 18 and 65, weighing more than 50kg. The process takes about an hour, during which approximately 450ml of blood is collected from each donor.  

Every two seconds, someone is in desperate need of blood, a life-saving miracle. This expression of solidarity and willingness to help shows how much we can achieve when we come together.
