Teacher of the Year Slovakia 2025 honours exceptional teachers

Teachers play a key role in shaping future generations. Every day, they encourage curiosity and critical thinking, and values that are important for life and society. Their work is exceptionally important and deserves respect, recognition, and support.

That is why we are proud that PwC is a partner and certifier of the Teacher of the Year Slovakia 2025 award, which helps raise awareness of the value of the teaching profession.

The winner of the National Award and Educator of the Year was Martin Štubňa, a physics teacher at the Joint Evangelical School in Martin.

The European Commission Representation Award was won by Simona Čalovková, who teaches multiple subjects at Základná škola Vrbnica.

The Public Award was presented by our Country Managing Partner, Martin Gallovič, to Martin Sivák from the Private Elementary School for Students with General Intellectual Talent in Bratislava. He received more than 11,000 votes from the public.

Congratulations to the winners and to all award finalists. We would also like to thank all teachers whose everyday work influences the lives of children and young people. We wish them energy, patience, joy, and support in their important mission.
