PRINCE2 Foundation
PRINCE2 Foundation is a globally recognized project management certification that provides you with practical knowledge for effective project management across a wide range of industries.
The PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) project management methodology is one of the most widely recognized project management certifications. During the course, participants gain detailed practical knowledge of how to manage project activities using the PRINCE2 methodology.
During the 3-day training course, you will learn to master the principles, processes, and terminology for both large and small projects across various sectors. You will also learn how to avoid cost overruns, reduce bureaucratic administration, and work in a systematic and collaborative manner.
What's new in PRINCE2 (7th Edition)
The latest edition of PRINCE2 introduces a number of significant enhancements:
- Sustainability as the seventh aspect of project management.
- A data management approach reflecting digital transformation.
- A stronger focus on people as a key factor in project success.
In the seventh edition themes are renamed as practices and minimum requirements have been removed, greater emphasis is placed on techniques supporting individual practices. The course is also available in Slovak.

- Project managers (junior and senior).
- Managers responsible for delivering strategic objectives.
- All project team members who contribute directly or indirectly to successful project delivery.
- Consultants implementing project management methodologies.
Validity and benefits of the PRINCE2 Foundation certificate
- The PRINCE2 certification is valid for 3 years. To renew it without retaking the exam, you need an active PeopleCert Plus Membership and must earn 20 CPD points per year over a period of 3 years (60 CPD points in total).
- The certificate is issued in English.
- It documents project management expertise.
- It can be used as evidence of project management qualifications for public procurement purposes.

PwC Academy is an accredited examination centre for PRINCE2. You can take your certification exam at our premises in Bratislava, in a professional, relaxed environment, with expert support from our team.
