This two-day course offers a comprehensive overview of key types of investment instruments, their markets, and the economic relationships that influence them.
You will learn to work with valuation models such as CAPM and multi-factor approaches, grasp the principles of efficient markets, and gain confidence in concepts like arbitrage and hedging. Through practical examples, real-world scenarios, and instruction aligned with the SSA syllabus (Slovak Society of Actuaries—sections 5.1 Investments and Markets and 5.2 Asset Valuation), you will acquire knowledge that can be immediately applied in your professional practice. The SSA syllabi are fully aligned with the requirements of the AAE (Actuarial Association of Europe) and the IAA (International Actuarial Association).
