Andrew Azmudeh

Andrew Azmudeh is a Partner at PwC Law LLP and the indirect tax group of PwC LLP in the Calgry office.

Andrew has specialized in indirect tax since 2004. He advises local, multi-national and multi-jurisdictional businesses on their indirect tax issues, including reviewing re-organizations, performing risk assessments, reviewing transaction implications and assisting with dispute resolution matters.

Prior to joining PwC Law LLP/PwC LLP, Andrew worked at professional services firms, including an allied law firm for over 12 years. Prior to that, Andrew worked for British Columbia's Ministry of Finance for 3 years where he was involved in the review of specific provisions of the PST legislation. He also acted as an Appeals Officer and assisted many businesses with their provincial indirect tax appeals.


Received Norman Guerin Award (2017), presented by Deloitte, for an outstanding contribution to the advancement of commodity taxation studies.  This award is given to the author of the best paper at the CPA Canada Commodity Tax Symposium.
