At PwC, we deliver our services as a trusted business advisor by developing our people to be responsible leaders who demonstrate our leadership as good corporate citizens. Whether we're driving a discussion about corporate responsibility in the marketplace or donating our time and skills to local communities, we're continuing our long history of doing business responsibly.
Our aim is to share knowledge and expertise to develop the Ukrainian economy and make the country into a better place in which to conduct business. We maintain a constant dialogue with our clients, the most important of these, working to address their needs and enhance their value.
PwC is an active participant in a number of business associations and professional organisations. Additional initiatives include staying in contact with PwC alumni and regularly carrying out client satisfaction surveys. Another element of our contribution to the marketplace is working with regional governments to increase regional investment appeal and improve their management skills to ultimately further develop and raise the quality of life in these regions.
We want to inspire our people to be responsible leaders. PwC makes every effort to be the employer of choice and to treat staff fairly and with respect. Ethics and diversity, both in terms of clients and staff, forms a cornerstone of our brand and practice.
We recognize the direct and indirect impact of our business on the environment. We aim to raise our people’s awareness about the impact on the world around us. PwC in Ukraine launched a Small Steps campaign to reduce our impact on the environment. To improve waste management, we have taken steps to reduce paper and plastic consumption in our offices.
We believe that corporate responsibility involves active support of local communities. PwC's charity programmes support initiatives in child welfare, education and culture. We have also forged mutually beneficial links with universities, providing sponsorships and having our professionals give lectures and conduct workshops for students.
