The digital environment is evolving faster than ever. Geopolitical tensions, an increase in state-sponsored cyberattacks, rapid advancements in AI, and the continuous expansion of digital infrastructure demand fundamentally new approaches to cybersecurity from both business and government. Adaptability — the ability to respond to risk dynamics and strengthen protection in real time — becomes a critical capability.

For Ukraine, cybersecurity is not only about operational efficiency — it is a foundation of national resilience. That is why it is so important that this year Ukrainian CDTOs and CISOs from leading companies joined PwC’s global research, representing our country’s unique experience in countering cyber aggression.

Alex Yankovsky

“Ukraine has proven that even in the most challenging conditions, it can remain a driver of innovation and cyber resilience. Our mission is to transform the experience gained during wartime into global standards of security and partnership. We are grateful to the leaders of Ukraine’s cybersecurity community for their active participation in the 2026 Global Digital Trust Insights — your contribution ensures that Ukraine’s voice is heard in the international dialogue on digital trust and helps shape the future of global cyber resilience”

Alex Yankovskі, Partner at PwC in Ukraine, Public Sector Leader
  • 60% of organizations are increasing investments in cyber risk management in response to ongoing geopolitical instability
  • Only 6% consider themselves fully prepared for current cyber threats
  • Agentic AI is among the top cybersecurity priorities for the next 12 months — with planned use in cloud security, data protection and cyber defence operations
  • Only 24% of organizations invest significantly more in proactive measures (monitoring, risk assessments, testing, controls) than in reactive ones (incident response, fines, recovery)
  • The cybersecurity talent gap remains a major barrier: 53% of organizations plan to use AI to help overcome skills shortages

PwC’s 2026 Global Digital Trust Insights is based on a survey of nearly 4,000 business and technology executives across 72 countries. It is one of the most comprehensive global studies on the state of digital trust and cybersecurity.
