Effective action plans don't just happen by chance: they are designed and implemented, they are managed and monitored, and they are given organisational support.

After all, surveys generate a great deal of data, and the best path forward may not immediately be clear. We’ve created an Action Planning Model to get the results you want, drawing on a proven multi-step methodology. We can show you specific steps that executives, HR business partners, and managers should take. And we support it all with START (Saratoga Taking Action and Reporting Tool), our proprietary online change management tool that provides managers access to their specific survey results and more. START shares action planning templates, documented leading practices, and other supporting material (such as listening questions, discussion guides, etc.). It gives you the ability to establish accountabilities, track ongoing progress, and manage action planning communications, through features that include:

  • An online, self-service site that provides access to individual manager survey results
  • Workbooks/leading practice materials on action planning processes
  • Action planning forms and templates to document action plan activities

We take a "train the trainer" approach that helps the core survey team provide consulting and analysis support as soon as results have been released. And our emphasis on manager training is completely flexible; we work with you to determine the most appropriate level of coaching. We also offer a range of post-survey strategic and tactical support: from coaching and workshops, to focus groups and training sessions, and on to developing action plans and using predictive analytics.
