Withstand a crisis head-on and leverage opportunities along the way

PwC’s Global Crisis and Resilience Survey

As the world becomes more and more complex and connected, the threats provoking a corporate crisis grow alongside. These might vary from compounding headwinds and protracted challenges that companies are facing in the aftermath of COVID, cyber incidents, bribery and corruption cases, quality / safety issues triggering product recalls, and so on. And these are just a few examples among many others. When it comes to Ukraine, it’s even more aggravated with the ferocious war in our country caused by russian military aggression that continues to cause deep and adverse human, economic and business impact on communities, society and the state as a whole.

Apparently, in the light of the current realities organisations in Ukraine face challenges of extensively varying levels of severity. Forced to cope with the ramping up inflation, supply chain pressures, shortage of resources and shifts in consumer behaviour, business leaders are now dealing with the unprecedented scale, scope and impact of the crisis spurred by continued volatility and the war.

But in no way it ever means that one should give up and surrender. Rather it’s a call for utmost preparation of the organisation to manage its shocks caused by the crisis and ultimately emerge stronger and build resilience to overcome it and get ready to withstand future threats.
