PwC Legal and the All-Ukrainian Association of Financial Companies (UAFC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in December. We joined together to contribute to the development and improvement of the financial services market in Ukraine.
The Banking and Finance practice team of PwC Legal together with colleagues from UAFC will be involved in developing proposals regarding draft laws and other regulations to ensure effective operations on financial markets.
Alexey Katasonov, Partner, PwC Legal in Ukraine:
“Our cooperation with UAFC will help strengthen the legislative framework regulating the financial services market, bridge key gaps and eliminate weaknesses, along with enhancing trust among all market players. I am confident that together we will be able to achieve the best results and set new regulation standards for the market.”
Vadym Romaniuk, Head of Banking and Finance practice:
“I had a positive experience working with UAFC on the regulation of the financial sector during my career in the Licensing Department at the NBU. Now I am happy to be involved in driving the improvement of this process from the PwC side by leveraging my knowledge of the NBU's methodology and principles of drafting regulations.”
Alla Saviuk, President, All-Ukrainian Association of Financial Companies:
“We are confident that our collaboration with PwC Legal will allow the non-banking financial market to significantly increase the level of organization of the risk management system and adapt to the transformational requirements of the updated legislation. We believe that objective, independent and professional assessment will be a reliable guarantee and support for UAFC members.”
