In 2017, PwC Legal secures stronger position on the legal services market

The strengthening of PwC Legal Ukraine's position on the legal services market during the current year is confirmed by the latest results from several national rating agencies.
The firm continuously demonstrates positive dynamics and growth, reflected in improved positions published by "TOP-50 leading law firms of Ukraine 2017" and "Market leaders. The rating of legal companies in 2017”.
For the second consecutive year, the PwC Legal Dispute Resolution Practice is placed among the top five on the market, and firm’s Managing Partner Andrey Pronchenko is hailed as one of the top expert practitioners in the field.
The studies have been on the market for a while and succeeded at gaining trust of both the legal and business communities, in particular, due to their objective and well-balanced assessment of the legal services market in Ukraine. They acknowledge the in-depth expertise of the firm's teams in compliance, corporate law, transfer pricing and customs regulations areas.
A separate award from editors of the industry publication “Yuridicheskaya Pracktika” applauds the firm’s strategy to strengthen its team. In particular, earlier this year Olga Balytska joined the firm as Head of Real Estate practice, as well as Dmytro Donets, who leads Dispute Resolution practice. With joining of Alexander Pshenishnyuk and Olga Romanenko, the firm substantially bolstered its Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare, as well as Intellectual Property and IT practices.
The effective strategy for the development of legal practice at PwC Ukraine was also noticed by partners of the firm’s Eastern European cluster. Andrey Pronchenko, Managing Partner at PwC Legal Ukraine, was elected as the leader at PwC Legal CEE, ‘Eastern cluster’ (countries of the Caucasus region and Eurasia).

“TOP-50 leading law firms of Ukraine” (a project by “Yuridicheskaya Pracktika”) is an independent market research that focuses on the analysis of key performance indicators of domestic law firms. Market leaders are determined based on a number of established criteria, such as: the number of attorneys employed, firm’s profitability, complexity of the supported deals and litigation proceedings, as well as financial efficiency. Attention is also paid to the reputation of the law firm in a professional environment. The period under study covered the 4th quarter of 2016 and 1-3 quarters of 2017.
“Market leaders. The rating of legal companies” (a project by “Yuridicheskaya Gazeta”) is an independent study of the legal services market in Ukraine, which identifies the top 50 domestic law firms.
