Former Allen & Overy Partner Hugh Owen joins PwC to strengthen its M&A practice in CEE and Ukraine

PwC has welcomed Hugh Owen, former Partner of Allen & Overy, to strengthen PwC’s M&A practice in the CEE region and Ukraine. Hugh is an acknowledged and highly regarded expert in regional M&A. 

At PwC Hugh will focus on English M&A law and general M&A support. He will be available for expert consultations on English law all over the CEE region and in Ukraine, in particular. He has wide sectoral experience, from financial institutions, technology, media and telecoms, to energy and utilities, healthcare, real estate, and defence.  

Hugh joined the magic circle firm Allen & Overy in 1994. He was the Head of the SEE Desk and, since early 2016, head of the Ukraine Desk. He set up A&O's Slovak office in 2000 and established A&O's associated office in Romania in 2008, as well as spending several years in Budapest. At the end of 2017, he established his own law firm, called Go2Law, completing over 20 M&A transactions, and joined the PwC team in September 2021.
