Alexey Katasonov has been re-elected as a Co-Chair of the Legal Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine

On February 16, 2017 the results of elections of the Legal Committee leadership of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine were announced. Аccording to the vote, Alexey Katasonov, Director at the Attorneys Association “PwC Legal” in Ukraine”, has been re-elected as a Co-Chair of the Committee.

Having solid experience of working with Ukrainian authorities, multinational and local clients, оn this position Alexey is continuing to concentrate on assisting bridging the gaps between businesses and Ukrainian authorities to make Ukraine a better business environment.

Alexey highlighted main vectors in his work this year:

“I see my role in engaging more companies operating in Ukraine into active cooperation with the Chamber in order to further strengthen Chamber's voice while lobbying the members' interests. I am going to concentrate on improving efficiency of legislation in the field governing corporate reorganisations as well as on advocating Chamber members in their effort to improve services delivered to business by authorities.”

Alexey has over 12 years of experience (incl. 11 years within the “big four” firms) advising global multinational companies on the matters of corporate and commercial law, as well as on corporate restructuring projects.

He specializes on advising foreign investors on the various legal matters related to establishment of their presence in Ukraine, including advising on the matters of joint ventures and corporate governance, antimonopoly legislation of Ukraine, financing and repatriation of profits, etc.
