How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected the legal side of business operations? Quarantine restrictions and the enforced suspension of operations by many companies have resulted in unexpected changes in performance of contract obligations. This was against the backdrop of emergency legislative changes in response to the situation. To respond to numerous challenges, many businesses required assistance from skilled lawyers.

"COVID-19 pandemic has brought on change in many facets of our lives. Businesses have been increasingly focusing on improving performance and, in my opinion, have increased their expectations of the quality level of the services provided to businesses by the state. The gaps between the needs of the major businesses in Ukraine that are developing and applying international best practices and the too slow pace of reforms in Ukraine have become even more apparent.
I see the role of top-notch lawyers is not only to support clients in addressing any ongoing challenges arising in the existing legal environment but also to invest in improving legal regulation. For this reason, we readily invest our time in updating regulation of the labour market, land reform and opening of the land market, and work together with our clients in communicating and enhancing the efforts of the state for the benefit of the business and reliable corporate citizens.
