Digitalisation of public services in action: New online service from the Ministry of Economy and the State Labour Service

In July 2021, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine (the "Ministry") and the State Labour Service of Ukraine (the "SLS") co-launched an e-service to register the declarations of compliance of companies’ material and technical resources with the requirements of labour safety law via the Ministry’s eService Portal

As we reported earlier, in February 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Regulation No 77¹, which, in particular, amended 1) the list of hazardous machinery, devices and equipment; and 2) hazardous works requiring a declaration of material and technical resources compliance with the requirements of labour safety law (the "Declaration").

In July 2021, the Ministry and the SLS made a first step towards the digitalisation of the SLS’s administrative services and launched the electronic registration of the Declarations. The service is now available at all regional departments of the SLS.

When it comes to issuing permits for the performance of hazardous works and use (operation) of the hazardous machinery, devices and equipment, this procedure presently remains the same.
