PwC Malta (PwC) and The University of Malta signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 13 February 2024 aimed at strengthening higher education programmes for the next generation of talent, over the next five years.
This agreement will see both PwC and The Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy (FEMA) collaborating strategically to support the furtherance of international higher education and research, particularly in relation to the Higher Diploma in Organisation and Business Leadership.
With this spirit, PwC will provide access to its pool of expert talent to the Faculty, in order to review content and various aspects of the study programme, assist with teaching and expert insights, participate in select Faculty Board meetings, as well as provide students with a variety of opportunities such as internships and support with dissertation and research projects.
"PwC Malta believes in the importance of consistently investing in the student population, believing that they are the ones that will drive our society forward in the near future. Through this collaboration, we will continue investing in, and supporting the student population, as well as sustaining the evolution and development of their curriculum, alongside FEMA. Collaborations such as this allow PwC Malta to further contribute in the cohesive development of individuals with the scope of developing in them a critical mindset and a problem-solving attitude, as well as equip them with the capability of addressing the breadth and complexity of the evolving challenges of businesses and society."
“In order to ensure that our higher education programmes fully address the challenges that the business world is facing now and in the future, we need strong collaborations with valued industry stakeholders like PwC Malta. Together, we can ensure that both our current as well as future students are fully prepared and ready to evolve into industry professionals following graduating from one of our courses.”
The collaboration between FEMA and PwC Malta ensures the continuous strengthening of the education provided by Malta’s highest tertiary institutions. Through this joint effort, both PwC Malta and FEMA will continue delivering on their collective belief of elevating the skills of the local talent pool, to secure a more equipped future workforce, able to transform and evolve our businesses and communities, as well as create stronger and more efficient workplaces for tomorrow.
