Michel Ganado joined PwC Malta in 1989 after graduating in Computer Science in the US. In 2002 he read for a Master Degree in Business Administration. He was admitted into the firm’s partnership in 2012 and he is currently leading the firm’s consulting practice, serving both the public and private sectors. With more than 30 years of professional experience, he has an extensive background in leading complex and challenging engagements mainly in business strategy, operating model design, business process analysis and reengineering, digital transformation and programme and project management.

Andrew Schembri is a Partner at PwC Malta specialising in IT & Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) topics. Since joining PwC Malta in 2011, he had the opportunity to work with leading organisations, both locally and internationally, helping them devise strategies to transform and improve their approach to managing technology and security risks to drive business performance, maximize efficiencies and improve stakeholder confidence. Andrew is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Chris is a partner within the firm, as part of the Tax and Legal Service line at PwC Malta where he helps drive the firm’s governance, risk and compliance offering. He has a keen interest in regulatory trends and innovation with a recent focus on digital finance and ESG/sustainable finance-related initiatives. He is experienced in advising asset management and other regulated businesses on tax, structuring and regulatory matters. He joined PwC Malta in 2013 after three years with PwC Legal LLP in London and is a dual Maltese and English-qualified lawyer. He specialised in International Commercial Law at Kings' College, London and is an associate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Pamela is a director within PwC’s Academy - leading the firm’s external training offerings, covering learning and education (L&E) strategies, e-learn developments, training platforms and learning architecture and delivery of client specific training solutions.  Pamela first joined the firm in 2004 as an audit associate and in 2007 moved into an internal role to assist in setting up the Human Capital function of PwC. During her last year within the Human Capital team, she was actively involved in conveying the talent management case at PwC. In 2013, Pamela took over the responsibility for the strategy & business development aspect of PwC's Academy leading a team of learning professionals. She has a key role in driving the Academy as a leading training service provider in line with the national quality education standards and in line with digital education requirements for the 21st century.  She has an active role in providing L&E consulting to clients, designing training curricula and scoping of courses, designing niche training products in line with Malta’s skills gaps, meeting clients to analyse their training needs and to assist them in translating their needs into effective training programmes. She continues to be one of the firm's business skills trainers and has developed and delivered several training programmes to PwC’s managerial team and to PwC’s Academy external clients around the areas of learning, talent management, leadership and management skills, coaching, staff development & effective people communication.

Jake is a Senior Manager in PwC Malta’s Consulting practice focusing on digital transformation and helping to develop and lead the firm’s Data & Analytics and Emerging Technologies service offerings. Over the last 5 years with the firm, he has advised numerous public and private sector organizations focusing on technology-enabled business transformation projects from strategy all the way to implementation.

Kirsten Cremona is a Senior Manager within the Cyber Security practice at PwC Malta. He has over ten years of professional experience in IT and cyber security, including security architecture and engineering, technical security assessments, and compliance security audits. Kirsten is specialised in ethical hacking and over the years he has performed and managed numerous penetration tests, as well as delivered instructor-led training on this topic at PwC's Academy. Kirsten holds a BSc in Computer Networks from MCAST (Malta), an MSc in Network Security and Pen Testing from Middlesex University (Malta), as well as various industry certifications including the OSCE3 (OSEP, OSWE, OSED), OSCP, and OSWP from OffSec, as well as EC-Council's CEH and CND.

David began his journey at Megabyte a year after graduating with a BSc ICT Hons in Communications and Computer Engineering in 2010. Starting out as a Systems Engineer, he quickly rose through the ranks as a Senior Systems Engineer and later settled into his role as General Manager of Engineering and Support Services.

Over the years, David has been instrumental in overseeing the success of many large-scale projects across various industries, including banking, manufacturing, and logistics. Following Megabyte’s recent acquisition by PwC Malta, David is looking forward to driving an enlarged team of professionals offering an ever-expanding portfolio of products and services and enabling businesses in their digital endeavours.

Joining PwC Malta in September 2021, Javier is a Manager in the Advisory line of service and leads the Customer Transformation and Salesforce Practice team. He holds an MSc in Business Administration from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, an MBA from UNED and is a PRINCE2 Certified Practitioner and a Salesforce Certified Administrator. With over 20 years of experience in leading technology and transformation projects, Javier has a broad background in strategic marketing, business development, transformation and CRM for technology companies & start-ups.

Lee Ann graduated as a lawyer in 2011 and is a manager within the Tax and Legal Service line at PwC Malta. As part of her area of focus, Lee Ann drives the Privacy and Data offering at PwC Malta. Her involvement in matters concerning data protection spans over numerous years and has equipped her with knowledge on the various requirements stemming from such legislation, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation. More recently, through her role at PwC Malta, Lee Ann has been involved in other areas relating to the data and digital regulations such as the Digital Services Act and also the EU AI Act.

Mark is a manager within PwC Malta’s advisory practice and leads Workforce Consulting services. He has over 7 years of experience supporting private and public sector organisations in developing and implementing talent development strategies, with a particular focus on the identification of skills and the development of Competency Frameworks in line with 21st century role requirements. Mark holds a Masters in Business Analysis & Management from the University of Loughborough and is a certified Business Coach.

Diana is currently an Associate within the Data and Analytics team which forms part of the Digital Consulting team. She has designed visual concepts for websites and Power BI dashboards and have them materialised into created business intelligence dashboards for various survey projects.

Diana assisted in various technical areas of projects through the development of automated solutions to client problems. She has experience in modelling and scrubbing data to transform it into a clean state for analytics purposes. Diana has experience in performing as-is evaluations, and working with Azure products in order to develop the analytical companion for an ERP.

Darshan has a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years in driving innovation and growth through emerging technologies. With a keen interest in the latest trends and developments, Darshan has become a leading voice in the field of AI, GeniAI, and Web3.0.

Over the course of Darshan's career, he has worked with a wide range of clients in various industries, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He has helped these organisations leverage technology to enhance their operations, improve their customer experiences, and drive revenue growth.

Darshan focuses on emerging technologies for PwC, GeniAI being one of the hottest topics for discussion at the moment. Maddalena is a Partner at PwC Italy, currently leading the Financial Services sector within the Customer Transformation team. With a background in Biomedical Engineering, Maddalena's career has been characterized by designing and implementing customized solutions for the financial services sector, focusing on optimizing front-office processes and client management. She leads digital transformation projects that integrate digital marketing strategies to enhance the overall customer experience through digital channels, which involves redesigning digital touchpoints for leading banking groups.

Matt is a Director in PwC’s Global Threat Intelligence (GTI) team responsible for the Europe, Middle East and Africa Region and is the Head of Threat Intelligence in PwC Sweden. Matt has worked in security roles across the defence and public sectors for over 25 years in both Australia and the UK. He spent 12 years working in the UK's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) specialising in threat intelligence and risk consultancy. He has led teams on national level incident responses and was a co-author of the 2016 UK National Cyber Security Strategy. He has extensive experience in the development of policy and strategy, leading threat intelligence teams, incident management and response, and the provision of protective security advice and guidance.

Daria is a Senior Manager in the Technology Consulting practice at PwC UK. Specialising in digital strategy, she helps clients design and build next-generation businesses using state-of-the-art digital platforms.

Her experience spans across various sectors, serving a diverse range of clients from startups to global corporations.

As Chief of Staff for the Emerging Technologies Team, Daria helps organisations harness the power of innovative technologies to drive strategic growth. She advises boards and executive members on leveraging Generative AI to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and foster innovation, all while ensuring alignment with organisational strategy.

Outside of her professional role, Daria is dedicated to bringing diverse talent into the technology industry. She supports ambitious students from various backgrounds through mentorship and coaching sessions. 

As a Senior Cloud Solution Architect for Azure Core at Microsoft, Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in leading complex and impactful cloud projects across Europe. He has a strong background in datacenter migration & modernization, security and compliance auditing, and solution architecture that achieve business value over time. Jonathan works closely with partners and customers at a strategic level to help them digitally transform their business by reimagining how they can bring together people, data, and processes to create value for their customers, maintaining a competitive advantage in a digital-first world. He provides deep technical support through solution build and first mile customer engagements, such as proof of concepts, architectural design sessions, and hackathons. Jonathan is passionate about driving cloud adoption at scale and enabling innovation with purpose.

Sakis Rokanas is an experienced Technical Solutions professional with an IT career spanning over two decades. He has held various roles, such as a System Engineer, a Senior Solutions Architect, and a People's Manager, with skills in Core Infrastructure, Security, Data & Analytics. For the last 8 years, Sakis has worked at Microsoft, supporting over 30 countries in the Central and South-East Europe regions, as a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) for Cloud Infrastructure, a Partner Technology Manager, and a CSA for Digital Natives & ISVs. Lately, he has assumed the role of a CSA for Data & AI. Sakis has a degree in Mechanical Engineering (MEng) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece.

Kenneth Brincat is the CEO of the Malta Digital Innovation Authority. With twenty years of experience in management and digital transformation, Kenneth is spearheading MDIA 2.0: A driving force in Malta's digital landscape. He is catalysing the national agenda for responsible and human-centric development of artificial intelligence (AI) and the enabling of cybersecurity across industry. Under Kenneth's leadership the Authority adopted a collaborative approach enabling policymakers, industry experts, and academia to synergize to ensure the optimal and safe uptake of emerging technologies.

Nigel Curmi joined Hudson in August 2023, bringing close to 30 years of experience in the ICT, telecommunications, and health care sectors. Nigel has been instrumental in the delivery of the various digital transformation projects over the years and is a firm believer of a customer-centric culture. 

Scott Lee Holloway (CCXP) is an esteemed Customer Experience Professional spearheading the Voice of the Customer Unit at APS Bank in Malta. Scott ensures that the customer’s voice resonates throughout the organisation, translating into an unparalleled customer experience.

Scott’s commitment to excellence is underscored by over a decade of experience in the Financial Services sector, including working alongside industry titans such as Santander, HSBC, and Willis Towers Watson. While studying at The London Institute of Banking and Finance, Scott deepened his understanding of the Financial Services Industry, including Customer-Centric Practices and Complaints Management techniques.

Scott Lee Holloway is a dedicated CX professional and trailblazer shaping the future of customer-centric practices in the financial services industry.

Dione is an experienced IT professional, currently serving as the of Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations at APS Bank. With a relentless drive for results, he exemplifies a proactive, positive attitude and a self-motivated demeanour. Equipped with a robust academic foundation, including a BSc (Hons) in Computing and Information Systems from London Metropolitan University and an MSc in IT and Management from Sheffield Hallam University, Dione adeptly merges academic theory with practical expertise. Over the course of his 25 years career, he has held various technical, managerial, and consultancy roles across both public and private sectors, underscoring his versatile leadership and remarkable business acumen.

Dr Dylan Seychell is a resident academic at the University of Malta's Department of Artificial Intelligence, specialising in Computer Vision and AI Safety. With a background in academia and industry, he holds a PhD in Computer Vision and has published extensively on AI in international peer-reviewed conferences and journals. Dylan's work has earned global recognition, including awards from the European Space Agency.  Outside of the academic setting, he actively applies his expertise through his enterprise, focusing on enhancing tourist experiences through technological and cultural heritage innovations. He is a technical expert certified by the Malta Digital Innovation Authority and a Tourism Operators Business Section committee member within The Malta Chamber.

Karl Galea is the Chief Marketing Officer at Epic Communications Ltd, Malta’s fastest growing mobile network and leading telco partner for business. He has over 15 years of experience in marketing with a focus on Customer Relationship Management and Product Marketing. Fueled by strategic thinking and curiosity, he has built a lean marketing team which launched Epic in Malta,  regained leadership position in mobile and expanded into new areas such as Home Internet and TV. Prior to his current role, Karl held various marketing positions with Vodafone in both Europe and Australia, further enriching his marketing experience and global perspective.

His academic background includes a PhD in Internet Computing, focusing on evolving digital trends in customer conversations.

Jesmond Baldacchino has been actively involved within the Maltese Information Technology scenario for over 30 years and is currently a Fellow at the British Computer Society. He commenced his career at Mid-Med Bank (now HSBC) holding several IT roles in operations and software development. After acquiring the necessary expertise and know-how at the Bank he took over the full responsibility of the Management of HSBC Malta’s IT Customer Services Division providing crucial internal IT support for the Bank’s IT setup.

With 15 years experience at the Bank, he continued his career path and joined a Business Incubation Company, iWorld Group, where he was responsible for all IT operations. However, in 2001, he decided to take another challenge in his career and joined Malta Freeport Terminals, a key player amongst the Mediterranean transshipment ports as the Head of IT. Indeed the Freeport is a leading Company in Malta. Within the maritime sector, efficiency plays a vital role hence further accentuating on the importance of technology. At Malta Freeport, Jesmond is responsible for the overall IT setup.  Jesmond plays an instrumental role in the implementation of the various new technology systems and regular systems upgrades which are essential for the Company to further boost its position within the Mediterranean containerisation industry. His capabilities and professional pro-active approach towards work are contributing to the positive results being attained by Malta Freeport.

Gerald is currently leading as the Country Representative for Malta at Oracle, where he leads Oracle’s Cloud efforts in the local market. His extensive background includes over 20 years of expertise in both On-premise and Cloud Infrastructure technologies from most major technology vendors, as well as helping organisations from various industries both in Malta and most other EMEA countries.

Alistair leads the dedicated network and development teams for the IoT division within Melita, melita.io. This focus on IoT gives an international dimension to his role with 95% of business activity beyond Malta.

In 2024, Alistair celebrates 25 years at Melita Limited, which he joined as a Network Engineer after gaining his B.Eng. (Hons.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malta. He spent 15 years as Head of Core Networks, where he drove technical operations and projects across Melita’s broadband, mobile, fixed voice, and TV services.

Alistair holds an MSc in Networking Technologies & Management from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, where he was awarded for best overall performance. He has also completed the MBA Essentials from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and followed the CTAM Executive Management programme at INSEAD, France.

Stefan Galea is a warranted electrical engineer specialising in IT management, and an experienced information security practitioner.

Throughout his career, he has applied this blend of backgrounds to contribute to organisational objectives through technology, and in the development of comprehensive security programs.

Stefan currently holds overall responsibilities for the teams delivering IT Infrastructure and Information Security within the FIMBank Group.

Prior to joining FIMBank in 2005, he has supported diverse local and international blue chip corporates with business-oriented best-of-breed solutions at a leading Maltese ICT systems integrator.

Giannella Borg is the Head of Information Security at Catena Media plc, based in Malta. With nearly two decades of experience, she has dedicated the past seven years to the iGaming industry. Giannella holds certifications in CISM, CRISC, CISA, and COBIT5.

As a foundational member of Catena Media's Information Security team, Giannella was instrumental in developing and expanding the function from its inception. Under her leadership, the team has grown into a robust global entity, featuring a 24x7 Security Operations Center and a diverse group of professionals, including analysts, engineers, and offensive security experts. Together, they implement an end-to-end security strategy ranging from governance, risk, and compliance to deploying security controls across all data environments, ensuring comprehensive protection for all company locations and production environments.

In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Giannella is the President of the ISACA Malta Chapter. ISACA is a global nonprofit association that promotes the adoption of best practices and standards among information systems professionals worldwide.
