Malta’s economy is resilient yet navigating a new normal. Slowing growth, shifting demographics, and rising expectations for personalised, always‑on experiences demand more than incremental change. Intelligent Digital 2026 titled 'Continuity in change - Shaping the business of tomorrow' brings together C‑level leaders and digital practitioners to explore how to re-design business models to redefine core operations, unlock new value‑creation models, and build organisations that are trusted, adaptive, and future‑ready. As we look to 2026 and beyond, the focus is on turning constant change into a source of continuity and competitive advantage.

Business model reinvention as a continuity strategy

Rising operating costs with slowing growth in Malta require businesses to act now. Through real case scenarios, this keynote outlines how businesses can rethink their business models and redesign core operating models to unlock new value, sustain competitiveness, and drive long‑term continuity in a fast‑changing business environment.

Panel discussion: The Payoff

This panel brings together key business leaders that have led and/or are undergoing their own reinvention journey. The discussion will touch upon the key aspects around why the need for operating model change, planning, people, and at times external support needed to unlock value.

*Breakout sessions

  • Witnessing the data platform evolution, AI agents and modern analytics
    • This session explores the current state of AI-powered data platforms from Microsoft and Oracle. It includes an overview of how modern data platforms handle the complete data journey, from diverse sources to intelligent insights, and examine the implications for enterprise decision-making.
  • Resilience is the new competitive advantage
    • This session makes the case that digital resilience is no longer a back-office concern, but a strategic differentiator that separates businesses that grow with confidence from those that stall under pressure. We will explore the core technology and security pillars for a resilient business, address the status quo, and go from insights to measurable actions.
  • Agentic ERP, the tools of modern businesses
    • Business solutions evolved alongside how companies operate, that is, from on premise, record keeping ERPs to Cloud ERPs designed to support business processes with embedded analytics and automation. These systems have been designed to keep up with your changing needs as your business navigates change while growing, including the embedding of AI into modern day ERP systems.

Malta’s quantum future

Quantum technologies give us superpowers like the ability to be in two places at the same time and ultrafast computers. This keynote will outline how quantum computing is here and how it will impact businesses. It will also include several local case studies, showing how quantum technologies are increasingly being taken up by Maltese businesses.

Leading a business through continuity in change

This keynote will focus on the people dimension of business model reinvention, highlighting how business leaders should evolve to successfully guide their organisations through ongoing transformation. It will also touch upon how to build teams within the organisation that will champion the change.
