As the result of the new amendment to the „Act on Foreigners Stay”, new legal changes have been brought into force.

The aim of this programme is to acquaint participants with this issue and its impact on work permits and other aspects related to the employment of foreign nationals in the Czech Republic.

HR employees and all those who need to understand the fundamental regulations and to deal with all standard situations that can arise while employing a foreign national.

The programme is divided into two days; however, participants can only attend the day that is relevant for them:

 

DAY 1 – Employment and residency permits for EU citizens

  • Overview of the fundamental regulations and rules of law related to this issue
  • Registration of EU citizens at the labour office
  • Legalisation of an EU citizen and his/her family members‘ residence – registration vs. residency permit
  • Introduction to EU social and health insurance coordination
  • Other obligations regarding the employment of EU citizens

 

DAY 2 – Employment, visa and residency permits for citizens of third-world countries

  • Overview of the fundamental regulations and rules of law related to this issue
  • Processing a work permit for citizens of third-world countries seconded to the Czech Republic or employed by a Czech company
  • Exemptions from the obligation to obtain a work permit
  • Legalisation of residence of a citizen of third-world countries and his/her family – visa types, conditions for granting a visa, application differences, practical experience
  • Extension of visa and residency permits
  • Green and blue cards
  • Schengen rules and their impact on employment of third-country nationals
  • Communication with authorities involved in the immigration process, their role and competences
