General accounting services - using a cloud-based solution to record and post all financial transactions, carry out bank and other financial reconciliations, and posting of year-end journals;
Where the accounting and bookkeeping is done by the clients’ finance team, we may step-in and assist the team with the accounting of complex transactions; and/or review of the full ledger and reconciliations;
Financial reporting – drafting of periodic and financial reports, as may be required by management, and providing a detailed analysis of the financial results;
Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with the applicable accounting framework (local accounting framework or IFRS) and the Maltese Companies Act;
Support during the statutory external audit including preparation of accounting-related documents and liaison with the external auditors during the audit period;
Budgeting and forecasting enabling cost and cash flow management.
Aggregation and consolidation of the Group’s financial results and position;
Preparation of the consolidated financial statements in accordance with the relevant financial reporting framework.
Preparation of income tax computation;
Preparation and submission of the self-assessment income tax return including the statement of movements in reserves, the Tax Index of Financial Data and other prescribed attachments.
Registration for VAT purposes in Malta;
Preparation and submission of VAT Returns and Recapitulative Statements including assistance with other ongoing compliance obligations;
Healthchecks to ensure that the entity is at all times VAT compliant and abreast with changes to VAT legislation.
Initial registrations of your business as an employer;
Regulatory compliance and registration of employees;
Facilitating payments due to employees and tax authorities;
Maintenance of the Company’s registers including shareholders, directors and company secretary and beneficial ownership register;
Preparation of the annual return and annual beneficial ownership confirmation;
Beneficial ownership statutory forms and declarations and preparation of the necessary forms and documentation for changes to the Company’s directors, registered office address, company secretary or corporate name;
Drafting of any corporate resolutions and/or minutes relative to statutory requirements;
Preparation of share certificates;
Assistance with any compliance inspection carried out by the Malta Business Registry.
Support with the day to day administrative functions applicable to the entity;
Monitoring the compliance obligations to ensure that all statutory requirements are met within the stipulated deadlines.
Communicating with your preferred bank in relation to the procedures and steps required to open a bank account;
Completing the necessary bank account opening forms;
Collating and providing the bank with the due diligence documentation required for the purposes of opening the bank account;
Setting up of internet banking facilities for the entity;
Debit/Credit card application and respective facilities (when required);
Assistance with any ongoing bank account reviews carried out by the entity’s bankers.
Assisting with the steps required to enable the Company to be placed into liquidation;
Preparation and submission of the statutory documentation to place the Company into liquidation;
Preparation of the required financial reports including Statement of Assets and Liabilities, and financial statements as may be required;
Supporting the liquidator with all matters and steps to be seen to once a Company is placed into liquidation, including strike off.
Onboarding of clients - assistance with client acceptance procedures and the collection of the required documentation/information including background and screening checks as required by law and in line with your policies and procedures;
Ongoing monitoring of your customer due diligence documentation to ensure that all documentation and information is kept up-to-date;
