While our net zero ambition remains at the core of our action plan, our commitment goes further. Throughout 2025, we have been prioritising action across awareness raising, waste, mobility, volunteering and responsible business.

Building awareness and driving learning

Throughout the year, we have engaged with employees in different ways to raise awareness about the pressing needs facing the natural environment.

A water conservation workshop with Mr Marco Cremona, one of Malta’s leading water specialists, shed light on how Malta has adapted to limited water resources, while offering practical tips for saving water both at home and in the workplace.

A Net Zero information session provided staff with updates on our net zero commitments, progress made in the achievement of these targets, and challenges being faced, helping them understand how their individual choices can contribute to our wider progress.

A series of wellbeing initiatives were introduced, including a nutrition and movement challenge, nutrition workshops, and a nutrition and hydration week campaign. These were complemented by sponsored gym classes through the functional fitness programme, offering weekly sessions accessible to all levels.

Circular economy and waste separation

Managing waste responsibly has been a growing area of focus, with practical steps being introduced to embed better habits.

  • Dedicated organic bins have been rolled out across kitchens and canteen areas, making it easier for staff to separate waste effectively.

  • To support the initiative, a waste separation campaign was run alongside the launch, raising awareness and building a culture of accountability.

  • ‘Trash Talk’ sessions created space for discussion around waste separation in the office, encouraging colleagues to ask questions and build better daily habits.

  • By strengthening these processes, we aim to reduce reliance on landfills, encourage responsible disposal, and highlight the role of each employee in contributing to a cleaner environment.

Sustainable mobility

Given the number of people commuting to our offices, we have been working to better support cleaner and more accessible mobility.

  • A formal electric vehicle charging point plan is being drawn up to allow staff members to charge their private vehicles on site.

  • In tandem, an EV charging policy is being drawn up to ensure that accessibility and health and safety issues are addressed properly. This we hope will provide our employees with greater access to cleaner mobility solutions and support the shift towards electric vehicles.

Giving back 2025

Volunteering and community involvement continue to be a cornerstone of our culture and a visible expression of our values.

Each employee is entitled to dedicate eight working hours per year to volunteering, offering a structured way to support meaningful causes. The initiative also helps to build stronger connections among colleagues, while strengthening our role in the wider community.

Opportunities include environmental clean-ups, social impact projects, blood donations, and animal welfare initiatives, ensuring there is space for everyone to contribute in a way that resonates with them.

In parallel, the firm has strengthened its commitment to local heritage and the environment through exclusive sponsorships. A five-year partnership with Din l-Art Ħelwa, the National Trust of Malta, supports the organisation’s mission to safeguard the nation’s historic, artistic, and natural heritage. At the same time, our collaboration with Majjistral Nature and History Park has been renewed, with events hosted at the park and employees actively volunteering to assist with its activities, underlining our shared responsibility towards Malta’s natural spaces.

Responsible business and leadership development

Our approach to sustainability extends beyond internal initiatives, reaching into how we shape the market and prepare future leaders.

  • We have hosted ESG-focused events to raise awareness of sustainability challenges and opportunities within the business community.

  • Our NextGen programme demonstrates our long-term commitment to leadership development, equipping emerging leaders with the skills needed to address pressing global challenges.

  • We have provided ESG training to help embed sustainability goals in leadership objectives, board reporting and risk management, ensuring with corporate strategy.

How can we help?

Beyond supporting your existing or planned sustainability initiatives, our teams can assist your organisation in meeting reporting and strategic requirements. This could include support with identifying material sustainability issues, conducting carbon footprint assessments with a focus on Scope 3 emissions, reviewing ESG data and systems, and delivering targeted ESG training.

In addition, we can help organisations align sustainability goals with business strategy, leverage data analytics to monitor progress, and develop effective ESG approaches. If you are interested in exploring these opportunities, please reach out to our dedicated teams.
