Property Malta alongside the Ministry for Justice and Reform of the Construction Sector officially launched the Property Price Registry, a pioneering online platform developed by PwC Malta that provides comprehensive, contracted residential property prices and data across Malta and Gozo.
The launch event featured a presentation by PwC Director Angelique Spina focused on the key features and functionalities of this new tool to the press. This first-of-its-kind platform in Malta enables stakeholders in the property industry to access vital pricing data that was previously unavailable in the market.
The Property Price Registry consolidates verified, registered property sales data from 2018 onwards and is updated every six months. By providing access to this reliable and comprehensive data set, the Registry supports improved property valuations, market projections, and research. Key metrics that one can find on this platform include the number of sales, average price per square metre, minimum and maximum prices, and average property size, covering a broad range of residential property types such as apartments, houses, maisonettes, villas, penthouses, farmhouses, and garages.
“The Property Price Registry brings greater transparency to Malta’s real estate market. It equips banks, investors, architects, agents, policymakers, and related professionals with evidence-based insights to make more informed decisions. Furthermore, the platform illustrates how prices and transaction volumes have evolved across different localities and time periods, empowering users with a clearer understanding of market dynamics.”
The launch event was also addressed by the Minister for Justice and Reform of the Construction Sector, Jonathan Attard, the Chairman of Property Malta, Sandro Chetcuti, and the President of the Malta Developers Association, Michael Stivala.
