What is the Tax Academy?

The Tax Academy is a paid e-learning programme based on the International Tax Practice Course that has been held by PwC Tax Japan since 2006. It offers 52 types of lectures on major international tax themes via on-demand delivery, including new international trends in the tax field such as the introduction of digital taxation.

It is aimed at individuals who wish to study international taxation systematically from the basics, as well as those in corporate tax departments who want to acquire and enhance their knowledge in international taxation. The programme allows participants to gradually progress from basic to specific topics according to their individual level of understanding and learning needs.

Additionally, we offer a course in English that explains Japan’s tax system for overseas companies considering entering the Japanese market.

We are committed to providing learning opportunities for anyone seeking expertise and new skills as tax professionals. Through supporting learning in the field of international taxation, we aim to contribute to the development of personnel in corporate accounting and tax departments and ultimately strengthen accounting and tax functions, thereby supporting the sustainable growth of companies. In the context of conducting global business and investment activities, addressing the critical issue of appropriate tax payment based on proper tax risk management is essential for corporate management.
