Neville is an advocate specialising in tax and corporate legislation. He graduated from the University of Malta in 1993 and prior to joining PwC, he worked in a Maltese law firm. In 1994 he undertook his post-graduate studies at the University of London and joined the firm on his return to Malta. Neville was admitted to the partnership in 2002 after also spending time working in the International Tax Department of PwC London. Over the last 26 years, Neville has advised extensively on both local and international tax issues to clients across a variety of industries, but with special focus on the financial services industry. He also lectures in Tax and European legislation at the University of Malta and at various other venues from time to time.

David is a Certified Public Accountant. He joined the firm in 1994 and was admitted as a partner in July 2009. David has extensive experience in corporate taxation as well as VAT and other indirect taxation matters on which he services a varied portfolio of clients. He has specialised in VAT matters since 1997 and has participated in a number of lectures, presentations and conferences on this subject. He has also assisted various clients in VAT tribunal cases. David currently lectures with the Malta Institute of Taxation and is a fellow member of the Malta Institute of Accountants where he is a member of the Taxation Committee. David is the partner primarily responsible for VAT related matters at PwC Malta.

Bernard is a tax partner. Over the past 22 years working in the Tax and Legal Services Unit, Bernard has been involved in various tax and related assignments both internationally and locally for clients in a wide variety of industries. In 2007 he was seconded to the International Tax Structuring Group in Berlin. Bernard has addressed various technical seminars and conferences. He also lectures in tax law at the University of Malta. Bernard is a member of the Tax Committee of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners of Malta.

Mirko joined the firm in 2002 and is a Tax Partner. He has worked for some time in the international tax department at PwC Berlin and currently provides tax advice to a varied portfolio of clients. Mirko has contributed to fiscal publications in respect of adequate substance requirements, transfer pricing, holding companies, fiscal implications of investing in Malta and setting up a business in Malta. Mirko also lectures in advanced taxation to students preparing for the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation examinations and has for a number of years lectured advanced taxation to ACCA students.

Steve joined the firm’s tax practice in 2003 and was admitted to the partnership in 2016. Steve read for a Masters in Law with a specialisation in tax at the University of London. Following this, Steve worked with PwC London for a two year period and returned to Malta in September 2008. Steve is heavily involved in advising a wide variety of local corporate and international clients operating in various industries including banking, aviation, gaming, tourism and trading operations. Steve also lectured for several years at the University of Malta and to students preparing for the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation.

Mark joined the firm in 2005 and is a Partner within the Tax and Legal Services Unit of the firm. Mark graduated as a lawyer in 2005 and has also completed the diploma in taxation offered by the Malta Institute of Taxation and a Masters in Taxation (Law, Administration and Practice) from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (University of London). Over the years, Mark has acquired considerable experience in corporate taxation and indirect taxation and also specialises in corporate and financial services. Mark also lectures in tax law at the University of Malta, the Diploma in Taxation organised by the Malta Institute of Taxation and at various PwC Academy sessions.

Edward is a tax lawyer within the Tax and Legal Practice section of PwC Malta, with focus on the taxation of wealthy individuals and families and the protection of their assets. Before joining PwC in Malta, Edward was the Academic Coordinator at the International Tax Centre in Leiden. He also worked for PwC in London for several years dealing in cross-border private wealth matters. Edward graduated in Law from the University of Malta and in International and European Taxation from Leiden University in the Netherlands. He occasionally lectures on cross-border and domestic tax law matters in several Universities and Institutes, and has also published material with Kluwer Law and other reputable publishing houses.

Chris is a partner within the firm, as part of the Tax and Legal Service line at PwC Malta where he helps drive the firm’s governance, risk and compliance offering. He has a keen interest in regulatory trends and innovation with a recent focus on digital finance and ESG/sustainable finance-related initiatives. He is experienced in advising asset management and other regulated businesses on tax, structuring and regulatory matters. He joined PwC Malta in 2013 after three years with PwC Legal LLP in London and is a dual Maltese and English-qualified lawyer. He specialised in International Commercial Law at Kings' College, London and is an associate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
