Yes. Under the IESBA Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (paragraphs R600.21 to R600.23), PwC must obtain concurrence from those charged with governance (TCWG) before providing non-assurance services to an audit company, its subsidiaries, or its parent entities.

Your organisation will need a documented concurrence from TCWG, typically from the Audit Committee, confirming agreement with PwC’s independence assessment regarding a subscription to PwC’s Online Academy. If a pre-cleared training concurrence document is not already in place, we recommend contacting your finance or governance (audit) function to initiate the process. Our audit team is available to support the process.
