The Selection Process

The Corporate Reporting Awards in Mauritius have a strong focus on the International Integrated Reporting Framework, endorsed on 5 December 2013 by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).

All companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM), including Global Business Companies trading on the SEM, as well as Public Interest Entities (PIEs) are eligible to compete for the Awards.

Depending on their category, annual reports are reviewed against a rigorous set of criteria. Content, clarity and correlation are the pillars of our assessment for each award.

Subject matter experts from PwC Mauritius review all the annual reports and websites listed in each category, and a shortlist is presented to an external independent judging panel composed of users of annual reports (company directors, bankers, analysts...) for a final assessment and choice of the winners.

Every year, we announce the winners at a special event. We also publish a full list of winners and nominees on this website.

General Rules:

  • Entities listed on the SEM are automatically considered for the Awards.
  • Non-listed PIEs, state-owned entities and parastatals will only compete if they submit their ARs for review.
  • Entities that win a category 2 times in a row are not eligible to compete in that category for a 3rd consecutive year
