Corporate responsibility

In conjunction with our corporate social responsibility motto of "engaging the hearts and minds of our people with the wider community", PwC Singapore organised a donation drive in 2012 to help two orphanage centres in Myanmar.

The orphanage centres, a Christian and a Buddhist home, housing children between ages 2 to 18, are both located in the township near Yangon. Each centre houses approximately 500 orphans.

Our container of goodies for the children were sent to the orphanages just before the cold season.

With winter approaching and the weather estimated to drop to around 13 degrees celsius, the children can definitely use the warm clothing, blankets, and shoes collected.
Not forgetting that most of the children would not have the luxury of having toys, our generous donors also brought along good condition toys!
Executive Chairman Designate, PwC Singapore, Yeoh Oon Jin, signals that there will be continuous efforts and support for Maynmar orphanages.
Human Capital Partner, PwC Singapore, Sam Kok Weng, shows his support by lending a hand to the collection drive.
Managing Director of Advisory Services, PwC Myanmar, Ong Chao Choon, visiting children, carrying with him the hearts and warm regards of all PwC staff.
