Be part of the Corporate Support Services team that provides value-added services and solutions tailored to the needs of our clients to meet their statutory and reporting obligations including incorporation of a new business, accounting and bookkeeping, company secretarial compliance, annual returns, immigration assistance and payroll services.
To support this, we are currently recruiting professionals from Associate to Manager Level.
Responsibilities will vary by role, but will include an element of:
Research and provide information about accounting, tax, regulatory and business landscapes to potential investors coming to Myanmar
Initial sets up of accounting systems and databases for clients
Prepares Chart of Accounts and sets up the accounting system and obtains an understanding of the accounting policies adopted by the client company.
Receives source data / accounting information with appropriate account classification and other estimates and assumptions.
Preparation of necessary accounting entries for the following transactions for the client Company's approval:
bank transactions including fund receipts and payments
other transactions such as accruals, allocation of prepaid expenses, cost-plus income
Maintenance of General Ledger and fixed assets registers for clients
Generates the following Monthly reports from the accounting system for approval
Preparation of Monthly bank reconciliations.
Support incorporation and investment incentive application services, accounting and payroll outsourcing service for new businesses in Myanmar.
Support compliance service to immigration related regulations for expatriates working in Myanmar.
Recognized Degree in any discipline and/or relevant Postgraduate/Professional Qualification in Accounting, Economics and Finance
Myanmar CPA, ACCA, CA or CFA qualification is an added advantage
Possess 2 to 5 years of working experience in an auditing/ accounting/ book-keeping role.
Highly proficient in English and Myanmar language with excellent written and verbal communications.
Strong communication and inter-personal skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
Self-starters, meticulous and highly motivated to work on tight deadlines and tight schedule if necessary
Basic IT skills including experience in using excel and basic accounting software, willingness to invest time on learning advanced software
Good team player and able to work individually or in a team-setting under tight deadlines
Other Useful Experience
Candidates with work experience involving communication with DICA/MIC/SEZ for Company Formation and MIC/SEZ related application processes.
Candidates with IT skills to facilitate automation of business processes (e.g. experience in using of accounting, human resource or ERP software, VBA, Access, SharePoint, programming languages, etc.) will be advantageous
