KUALA LUMPUR, 27 April 2026: PwC today announced the launch of the Impact Talent Scholarship in Malaysia, a new scholarship programme designed to support high‑calibre, deserving students in pursuing their undergraduate studies.
The Impact Talent Scholarship Programme reflects the firm's long‑standing commitment to investing in talent and nurturing the next generation of leaders who will play a meaningful role in shaping the nation’s progress. Beyond financial support, the programme is structured to provide scholars with early exposure to the professional services environment, with opportunities to develop critical leadership capabilities, and access to a network of mentors and practitioners across the firm.
Applications are open from 27 April to 11 May 2026 to youths aspiring to pursue higher education in fields such as accounting and finance, information technology, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
Soo Hoo Khoon Yean (Soo Hoo), Managing Partner, PwC Malaysia, said: “Our nation is brimming with talent and ambition. As a firm, we want to make a meaningful difference by developing our homegrown talents and offering high performing students exposure to the industry while they’re pursuing their higher education.
The Impact Talent Scholarship supports deserving students who demonstrate not just potential, but purpose—young people who are grounded in values, curious about the world, and driven to help shape Malaysia’s future.”
Gan Wee Fong, People Leader, PwC Malaysia, said: “While the Impact Talent Scholarship provides financial support to help students pursue their studies, what truly differentiates it from other scholarships in the market is its strong emphasis on real world experience, offering internships and opportunities to be mentored by PwC professionals.
Our aim is not just to help students kickstart their careers—we want to nurture whole leaders who will make a lasting impact in society, with their digital fluency, business acumen, adaptability, and keen awareness of societal issues.”
The scholarship programme is open to young Malaysians aged 18 to 25 at the time of application, and is applicable to students from both public and private universities based in Malaysia. It is looking for students who demonstrate strong academic commitment, leadership potential, and a genuine drive for continuous learning and growth.
The initiative also aims to widen access to educational and development opportunities for students who may require additional financial support to continue their studies, including those with a monthly single income below RM6,000 or a total household monthly income below RM10,000. Applicants who meet these criteria are encouraged to apply.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a digital screening, followed by an interview with PwC leaders if they are successful. Graduates will be required to serve a four-year bond.
