About the training
Government has enacted the new Real Estate Agent Authority Act (the “Act”) to help prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. The Act sets up the Real Estate Agent Authority which now regulates and controls the activities of real estate agents. Its object is to promote transparency, accountability and integrity and to protect persons engaged in real estate transactions.
The need for real estate agents to adapt and abide by the newly-imposed obligations is imperative to ensure compliance with laws and protect their business.
To assist you in navigating through the new compliance requirements, PwC Legal is organising a training session that will help you understand the new obligations under the law and the steps that you are required to implement to ensure full compliance.

About the trainers
Anne-Sophie Julienne
Anne-Sophie is the Managing Partner of PwC Legal. She is a practising Barrister at the Mauritius and English Bar and a non-practising Barrister at the Paris Bar. She leads the advisory and dispute resolution practices of the Firm.
Anne-Sophie has 17 years’ experience as a barrister, part of which was gained in London working for leading international law firms. Anne-Sophie has delivered numerous training sessions on employment following the enactment of the Workers Rights Act. She has an in-depth knowledge of the intricacies of employment laws and regulations, and is able to speak of the practical difficulties faced with implementing some of the latest changes.
Ashwina Pittea
Ashwina is a barrister with 7 years’ experience. She is also a qualified Arbitrator from the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa), a certified Privacy Professional and a certified Privacy Manager from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Ashwina specialises in employment laws and data protection and is often called upon to assist companies in defining their working arrangements, implementing company policies and adopting adequate data protection practices. Apart from her advisory role, she continues to be actively involved in litigation and regularly conducts training sessions on employment and data protection.
We believe in roundtable discussions and sharing of impactful learning experiences. Our interactive sessions give participants an opportunity to articulate their difficulties amidst their business reality.
