PwC Japan upholds our Purpose, ‘to build trust in society and solve important problems’. Under the management structure established in 2024, we set ‘Trust and Transformation’ as our core management goal. We are fully committed to ensuring that the transformations occurring in business and society are based on trust.
In April 2025, PwC globally refreshed its brand for the first time in 14 years. Our member firms in each country and region will work together to connect an increasingly fragmented world and economy. As a driver of transformation helping to navigate this era of uncertainty, we will contribute to creating new value for our clients.
In this Annual Review, we present our activities and performance for FY2025 (July 2024 - June 2025) to a variety of stakeholders. We also explain how we perceive the increasingly complex societal challenges and changes in industrial structure, and the role we believe we must play in helping to solve them.
In FY2025, the PwC global network’s revenues grew steadily, increasing by 2.9% (US dollar basis) over the previous fiscal year to US$56.9bn. Here in Japan, we also maintained a high growth rate. PwC Japan’s revenues*1 reached a record high of ¥308.6bn, an increase of 16.8% over the previous fiscal year. Our headcount also grew. As new societal challenges emerge and existing ones grow more complex, we continue to strengthen our organisation and achieve growth through solving these issues.

PwC Japan will continuously review the areas and roles we should undertake. We aim to remain a beneficial presence in society, acting as a partner to Japanese companies operating globally. Furthermore, we provide growth opportunities to enable every one of our people at PwC Japan to reach their full potential. By developing professionals who possess both depth in their field and the breadth to find solutions that span multiple industries and areas, we will strive to contribute to solving even greater societal challenges.
At PwC, we help clients build trust and reinvent so they can turn complexity into competitive advantage. We’re a tech-forward, people-empowered network with more than 364,000 people in 136 countries. Across audit and assurance, tax and legal, deals and consulting we help build, accelerate and sustain momentum.
The PwC Japan Group is a collective name for the member firms of the PwC global network in Japan and their affiliates. Each firm within the PwC Japan Group conducts its business as a separate, independent business entity.
In response to our clients’ increasingly complex and diverse corporate management issues, the PwC Japan Group has put in place a system that consolidates our knowledge in the fields of auditing and broader assurance services, consulting, deal advisory, tax and legal services, and encourages organic collaboration among our professionals in each field. As a professional services network with approximately 13,500 certified public accountants, tax accountants, lawyers and other professional staff, we strive to provide services that more accurately address our clients’ needs.
