10 new directors among the leadership team at PwC Hungary

As of 1 September, ten colleagues will assume director positions at PwC Hungary. The company's senior management team is further strengthened by the three partners appointed on 1 July, at the beginning of the organization’s 2026 financial year.

Attila Bencsetler and Zsófia Csaba in Assurance, Gergő Remete and Csilla Stéger in Business Advisory, while Vivien Róka will be director in Transaction Advisory from autumn. Csilla Csulák, Balázs Kisgergely, Attila Környei, Bálint Szilágyi, and Norbert Tóth will assume new roles in Tax and Legal Services.

Attila Bencsetler graduated in finance and accounting from the Budapest Business University in 2011 and joined PwC’s assurance department. He holds international (FCCA) and certified auditor qualifications. Attila gained extensive experience at PwC’s New Jersey office, where he was responsible for auditing a NYSE-listed pharmaceutical company. In recent years, he has led audits of logistics, manufacturing and telecommunication companies, as well as various automation and transformation projects. As a director, his task will be the regional introduction of a data-driven, AI-supported new-generation auditing approach. In his free time, he enjoys going on nature adventures with his wife, twins, and border collie.

Zsófia Csaba joined PwC Hungary’s audit team in 2014. In recent years, she has primarily led audits of international, market-listed companies in close collaboration with PwC UK. Since 2023, she has been working in the broader assurance services department focusing on accounting advisory, where she is responsible for supporting IFRS audits, leading teams conducting audit assessments, and managing various accounting advisory projects. Zsófia graduated in finance and accounting from the Budapest Business University and is a registered ACCA member. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cycling, and reading.

Gergő Remete joined PwC’s public service advisory team in 2018, where he has been the leader since 2023. His team works in fields such as central administration, healthcare, and development policy, aiming to support modernization of administrative systems and enhance public services. He aims at using sustainable and effective operational solutions in the public sector. He holds qualifications in health informatics, law, and is a certified data protection lawyer, with ITIL and CMC certifications as well. Gergő works as a master lecturer at Semmelweis University and regularly gives lectures at other Hungarian universities. In his leisure time, he enjoys DIY and is an active sports enthusiast.

Csilla Stéger joined PwC Hungary’s public sector team in 2018. Currently, she leads the educational consulting team, which helps universities and public education providers in improving education quality and facilitating digital transformation. She graduated in economics and later earned a PhD in education. Csilla enjoys sports, hiking, reading, and traveling.

Vivien Róka joined PwC Hungary’s transaction advisory services team in 2019. Over recent years, she has participated in numerous transactions, including the sale and acquisition processes of businesses across various industries, valuation of domestic and international companies, as well as intangible assets, preparation and review of business plans, feasibility studies, and providing financing advice. Currently, she leads PwC Hungary’s M&A team focusing on corporate sales and acquisitions. As director, her main responsibilities will be serving the complex needs of clients related to M&A transactions and developing associated transactional services. She holds finance MSc and accounting MSc degrees from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. In her free time, she is active as a wine expert and enjoys sports, particularly crossfit.

Csilla Csulák has been strengthening PwC Hungary’s tax and legal team since 2006, gaining 19 years of experience in optimizing operational efficiency. She is a development economist, with a bookkeeper and a Six Sigma Black Belt certification. As director, she continues to play a key role in strategic execution and business efficiency improvement, with a focus on business development activities. Alongside her professional work, she is a supervisory board member for the Budapest Strings Chamber Orchestra, supporting the financial stability of the ensemble. Csilla spends her free time with her family and enjoys reading.

Balázs Kisgergely joined PwC Hungary’s tax advisory team as an experienced professional in 2016. As a member of the transfer pricing group, he has participated in numerous domestic and international projects, supporting clients in transfer pricing compliance and advisory tasks as well as tax authority investigations. Since 2018, he has also been responsible for integrating various technological solutions into daily operations within PwC Hungary’s transfer pricing group. Balázs is a registered tax advisor and holds an economics degree specialized in accounting from the Corvinus University of Budapest. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and is an avid cyclist.

Attila Környei began his career in 1993 at one of the predecessors of NAV, the National Customs and Finance Guard Command. From a deputy leadership position at one of the country’s largest customs offices, he joined PwC Hungary’s indirect tax team in 2005. He currently leads the team dealing with customs, excise tax, international trade, and green taxes. During his 20 years at PwC, he has assisted numerous Hungarian and multinational companies with customs processes and related international trade areas (e.g., CBAM, EUDR, prohibitions and restrictions, sanction regulations). Attila obtained his diploma from the College of Public Administration and holds registered customs advisory qualifications from the Ministry of National Economy. He has led PwC’s men’s football team as goalkeeper and captain for 20 years. After ending his active football career, he now spends his free time mostly fishing and hiking.

Bálint Szilágyi began his professional career at an energy company’s tax department and joined PwC’s indirect tax team in 2013, focusing mainly on VAT advisory. His clients include various domestic and multinational companies from different industries, and his work emphasizes tax review projects and automation of taxation processes. As director, his main goal will be servicing complex client needs related to M&A transactions and developing associated advisory services. He graduated as an economist in finance from the Budapest Business University in 2013 and holds certifications as a tax advisor and certified bookkeeper. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and travels the country as a top basketball referee.

Norbert Tóth joined PwC’s Indirect Tax team as an intern in 2015, where he participated in the development of the SmartTax team. He graduated in economic informatics from BGE in 2016. His main areas of expertise are e-Invoicing and e-Reporting services, and he leads numerous export projects working with foreign PwC offices, either from Hungary or joining them personally for brief periods. His hobbies include sports; he is a veteran member of the PwC football team and often plays padel with the SmartTax team after work on Margaret Island.
