PwC IFRS Deep Dives in Seychelles

He leads the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory (‘CMAAS’) unit and is the Asset Management industry group leader. John has more than 20 years of professional experience and has a portfolio of audit clients operating in the financial services sector, including banking and insurance and investment funds.

John leads engagements to assist and help clients in resolving technical issues and implementing new accounting standards. John also facilitates IFRS training to clients based in Mauritius and in the region.

He is an FCCA with almost 19 years of professional experience with PwC including 2 years secondment to PwC South Africa. He has acquired a wide range of audit and accounting technical experience.

Raj also facilitates IFRS training internally in the firm and externally to clients based in Mauritius and in the region. Raj assists clients and audit teams in resolving complex accounting technical issues and in implementing new accounting standards. 

He has more than 10 years of experience with PwC, including secondments at PwC Luxembourg from 2016 to 2020, during which he worked on various funds and private equity assignments.

His experience is focused on the audit of listed insurance companies as well as those of private equity and investment funds entities. He is also involved in the implementation of IFRS 17 for one big insurance company in Mauritius.

Pravin also facilitates IFRS training to external clients.

He has 10 years of professional experience including secondments to Assurance teams of PwC South Africa and PwC Canada. He has been involved in the audit of financial services companies including the biggest bank in Mauritius and has been the Manager in charge of audits of other companies operating in different industries.

Avish deals with various accounting technical issues for a portfolio of clients and also facilitates IFRS training to external clients.
