Profile

Mr. Takahashi joined PwC Singapore in 1993 and joined PwC Tax Japan in 2002. Since then, he has been extensively involved in all aspects of transfer pricing, including risk assessments, policy planning and documentation, audit defense, competent authority negotiations, and advance pricing agreements (APA).

Mr. Takahashi has also dealt with a wide variety of transfer pricing related issues, including business restructurings, value chain transformation, IP migrations, and BEPS.

Mr. Takahashi is a Singapore Certified Public Accountant.

Project Results and Achievements

Mr. Takahashi’s clients are both Japanese and foreign-owned multinational companies from various industries, including the technology, medical device, automobile parts, consumer goods, branded products as well as financial services.

He is involved in projects such as transfer pricing research, mutual agreements, APA, documentation, risk assessment, etc.  Specifically for APAs, he has worked across multiple countries including Japan, US, England, Australia, Singapore, Switzerland, South Korea, China, Canada, Thailand.  

Other Activities

  • Transfer pricing risk management in China, Thailand and in emerging countries (“Kokusai zeimu” April, 2013, co-author)
  • The 21st Century Public Policy Institute task force member (ended March, 2015) “New International Tax system in Globalization era”
  • Speaker at various transfer pricing seminars at PwC Tax Japan.
