Akio Kobayashi is the Leader of PwC's Japan Centre for Corporate Governance which advises boards of directors on emerging governance issues and leading practices. He has over 28 years of statutory audit, IPO audit and advisory, IFRS advisory, US GAAP conversion advisory experience for Japanese and multinational corporates in a variety of industries. He is active in providing public seminars on corporate governance developments, and explanation sessions on practical governance perspectives. He leads the Center, which conducts Code development research and provides advisory on critical governance issues.
