PUMA

Project description:
Environmental profit and loss (EP&L) account

Challenge:
Obtaining a coherent view of environmental impacts and risks around raw material availability, operational efficiency, regulation and reputation is a significant challenge.

Solution:
We supported Puma in producing the first global EP&L account. This initiative, driven by Puma's CEO, has enabled the business to put a financial value on natural resources used and the environmental impacts of its products.

Results:
Puma has obtained a detailed understanding of the implications of its decisions on the environment, enabling positive actions to be taken to deliver commercial benefits and safeguard natural assets that businesses depend on. It also gave Puma the tools to better report its holistic business performance and minimise the risks of an unsustainable supply chain. The EP&L is one of the principal tools that Puma hopes to gain the information and insight required to be the world’s most sustainable and desirable sports lifestyle company.
