Study on talent and skills requirements for the banking sector in Malaysia

PwC Malaysia and the Institute of Bankers Malaysia (IBBM) did an online survey among Malaysian-based banks on the talent and skills requirements for the banking sector in Malaysia.

The resulting report highlights what banks are doing to attract and retain the best talent in response to four key trends:

  • regulatory changes
  • the radical shift in technology
  • an increasingly affluent group of consumers
  • their appetite for innovative products

The survey was conducted across the 4 bank types in Malaysia (Retail/Commercial, Investment, Islamic and Development banks) and their Strategic supporting services.
