As we approach 8 March, we are putting the limelight on the uplifting stories of PwC Vietnam’s women to celebrate this special day. Electric guitar is my instrument of choice. I really enjoy listening to rock music, and the guitar is an essential instrument in this genre. The sound of the electric guitar makes me feel the vibrant and diverse aspects of life in a way that goes beyond imagination.
As a female aspiring to break barriers and challenge stereotypes in this traditionally male-dominated field, cybersecurity offers me an opportunity to make an impact and help promote diversity and inclusion within the tech industry. By pursuing a career in cybersecurity, I hope to inspire other young girls to pursue their passions in careers in STEM-related fields.
I am always curious to find out about my lovely colleagues' lives and more wonderful places/culture to explore in Vietnam. I came to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City first, and after trying banh mi, bun cha and cafe, I was happy to move here to work.
I acknowledge that despite rapid social progress, gender stereotypes still persist. My perspective is that individuals should make their own choices based on what they truly want instead of conforming to family and societal expectations. Therefore, I always encourage every woman to take the time to deeply explore what they truly want.
At PwC, we're not just building a company; we're building a 'family' together, and it's in these moments that we contribute to each other's happiness. I believe that this happiness enhances all of us, adding value to our experiences, elevating and respecting each other. It is a special joy for the women at PwC, finding a strong connection with the company and playing a part in building a family atmosphere that's both supportive and fulfilling.
In addition to celebrating the accomplishments and progress of women globally and Vietnam, we are also shining a light on the progress that still needs to be made towards gender equity and women’s empowerment and advancement.
