Ivan Phuah

Ivan Phuah leads Finance Transformation for PwC South East Asia Consulting and brings more than 27 years of experience helping organisations across the Asia Pacific region transform their finance functions to create greater business value.

He advises multinational corporations, government-linked entities, and growth-focused enterprises on reimagining finance through digital technologies, data-driven insights, intelligent automation, and emerging AI capabilities. His expertise spans finance transformation, operating model design, finance effectiveness, cost optimisation, management reporting, process simplification and standardisation, and the establishment of Global Business Services (GBS) and Shared Services Centres (SSC).

Ivan has led large-scale transformation programmes that modernise finance operations, leveraging digital platforms, advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to improve decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and unlock new sources of value. He works closely with CFOs and business leaders to define their Finance Function of the Future, develop target operating models, and build the digital capabilities, service delivery models, and workforce skills needed to thrive in an increasingly intelligent and connected business environment.
