Globally, PwC talked to nearly 2,400 family business decision makers in over 40 countries on the most pressing issues affecting their businesses.
In Malaysia, we spoke to 50 family business decision makers in our inaugural participation in this survey.
The results of the Malaysian cut of the survey highlight the need to professionalise both the business and the family, as business success cannot make up for family failure. There are also continuing pressures in relation to skills shortages, innovation and governance, which is consistent with the overall concerns of family businesses globally.
