flex+

flex+ is our flexible work arrangement policies which incorporates various forms of work flexibility and benefits in consideration of people’s lives outside work. This journey began in 2013, and since then we have progressively enhanced flex+ with initiatives such as flexWear where we can dress for the day, firm-wide block leave called Rest & Refresh, and flexFriday, which allows employees to leave work at 12:30pm every second Friday of the month.

flex+ is divided into three main categories: flex@work, life@work and parents@work

flex@work

flexFridays: The flexibility to leave work at 12.30pm every second Friday of the month. Follow us at #flexfridayspwc

flexSpace: The option to work from outside the office, when the situation calls for it.

flexTime: Choose when to start and end the work day.

Reduced Work Week: Our people have the option to work a shorter work week, allowing them them to focus on things that are meaningful to them such as their children or ageing parents. Here’s what our people had to say about being on the programme: video

Career Break: Extended time off for personal reasons or professional development.

parents@work

flexMum & extended maternity: With an extended maternity leave of 120 days, mothers can also opt for a shorter maternity leave period and 'flex' the remaining days to flexMum leave, which can be taken throughout the newborn’s first year of life.

flexDad & extended paternity leave: Fathers will get 30 days of paternity leave and have the option to 'flex' it much like flexMum.

Adoption leave of 5 days compared to the industry average of 2 days.

Amenities for mothers: Parking bays for pregnant women and nursing room.

life@work

flexWear: Our people can dress down in jeans if they are not meeting clients.

flexMed: Medical leave without the need for a medical chit.

Birthday leave:  Our people can take time off on their birthdays (on top of their yearly leave allocation).

flexPoints: A real-time recognition programme that allows our people to express appreciation and/or recognise the contributions of their colleagues.

flexCare: Additional leave, should an unfortunate event occur, or to care for immediate family members.

Rest & Refresh: Since 2016, the firm closes for a week or more at the end of the year to encourage our people to take well-deserved breaks to rejuvenate. #PwCWellbeing

flexBenefits: Provides flexibility to opt for benefits that are relevant to our people in different phases of life. Some of these areas include holiday expenses, public transport passes, personal development (language or art classes, coding courses, etc), wellbeing, child and elder care, fertility treatment, and more.

Great Place to Work programme (GPW): Consists of initiatives planned with our people in mind, such as discounts from department stores and wellbeing workshops that focus on topics such as safety, fitness, finance, image/dressing right and health checks.

flexMobile: Allowance for calls, data and broadband subscriptions, helping our people work anywhere.
